The Redding Police Department - Online!

It is with pride that I welcome you to the Redding Police Department’s web site and appreciate your interest in our agency.

Our main focus is to make the City of Redding a safe place to live and work, and I believe the community is an important part of this endeavor.  By working in partnerships with citizens and businesses, we can accomplish our goals to protect life and property, solve neighborhood problems, and enhance the quality of life in our city.

We are proud of our many accomplishments over the past five years and contribute much of our success to our proactive approach to addressing issues that may pose a threat to public safety.  We continue to utilize the community oriented policing philosophy to implement many of our innovative programs to solve problems, such as the Traffic Collision Reduction Program and the Shasta Anti-Gang Enforcement (SAGE) team.  The overall result of these efforts is a more desirable and safe environment for our residents.

So whether you currently live in Redding or plan on moving here in the future, we invite you to join us and become involved in our community.
